Tide Pools at York Beach

The girls and I visited the rocky part of Long Sands York Beach to check out the tide pools. It was foggy over the ocean.

We thought these snail tracks were pretty cool. These rocks were underwater...

And we could see where this snail had come from...

We found the smallest hermit crab we've ever seen.

the girls watched him crawl away...

The girls and I looked through the tide pools and found a lot of interesting things, mostly crabs, hermit crabs, snails, seaweed, and barnacles. There were also a lot of "baby fish" swimming around. We wondered what they would grow up to be.
