More Nature Exploring

This week we visited the trails at the Nature Center again! We also checked on mama duck's nest. We learned it takes about a month for Mallard duck's eggs to hatch. We think we found her nest pretty soon after she laid the eggs because the nest was exposed. When we went back this time the nest was covered with dried grass and feathers.

Mark has become certified to moniter nests for Cornell's Nest Watch program. We'll be visiting the robin's nest this weekend. I believe it was only two weeks for robin's eggs to hatch.
